Let us start with the definition of exclusivity. What can be considered exclusive, and what is meant by exclusivity. An exclusive piece of furniture is the one to be found only in designer showrooms or shops; it is recognized as a high quality and high-class piece of furniture combined with innovative ideas and extraordinary vision of the very concept of furniture. If we want to define exclusivity from the point of view of marketing, we will probably get something like a contract term in which one party grants another party sole rights. In our case, Look Luxe fully possesses sole rights for modern furniture pieces produced by best European (German, Italian) furniture manufacturers. We offer exclusive and refined range of modern furniture pieces, which are a noteworthy mixture of stylish modern furniture with a specific shade of different cultures reflected in European modern furniture.

The word mattress has Arabic roots originating from Arabic words meaning “to throw” and “place where something is thrown” or “mat, cushion.” The Arabs are the ones to have first laid the tendency to sleeping on cushions thrown on the floor. During the Crusades, this method of sleeping was adopted by the Europeans. Eventually the word materas descended into Middle English through the Romance languages and gradually entered the Modern English as a mattress. With time, the very idea of a mattress has changed. Even though in later times a mattress was meant as a piece of soft cloth placed directly on the floor, now it is usually placed atop a platform such as a bed or a metal spring foundation. The material to fill mattresses with has changed from straw and feathers to latex, viscoelastic, or other polyurethane-type foams.

No less important element of a modern mattress is the core, which supports the body of the sleeper. Modern spring mattress cores are often called “innersprings”, and are made up of steel coil springs, or simply “coils”. There are four different types of mattress coils, including Bonnell coils, Marshall coils, Offset coils, and Continuous coils. Bonnell coils are the oldest, most common in less expensive mattresses and less comfortable, as they do not offer much support. Marshall coils, also called “pocketed coils,” are more comfortable than the first type, but are not prefect either. Offset coils, being designed to hinge, are very sturdy, stable and provide great support for your body. Continuous coils are one of the latest inventions of the mattress manufacturers. They work by a hinging effect, similar to that of offset coils, and are excellent at distributing body weight, and limiting motion transfer, as well as roll together.

However, leading mattress developers have recently come up with sofas and beds with the innovative I.B.S. BEST SLEEP (Integral Box Systems) mattresses, which are specially fabricated to maintain the mattress’s invariable structure, prevent springs from loosening and guarantee the mattress’s long-term durability and comfort. LOOK LUXE has to offer a modern furniture sofa bed in the lineup of other exclusive and high-class sofas, called MIRO modern sofa. “Genuine leather” issue

Everyone is familiar with the process of leather making: hides, pelts and skins of animals are being tanned, dried and evened. Leather is a fashionable closing as well as upholstery material and the irreplaceable thing for different accessories worldwide.

There are 3 different leather types:

1) Full-Grain leather is made from the finest raw material, are clean natural hides which have not been sanded to remove imperfections. Only the hair has been removed. The grain remains in its natural state which will allow the best fiber strength that results in greater durability. It is more comfortable for a human being to be dressed in the natural grain as it possesses natural breathability together with its warmth. It is not wearing out and the European furniture is made of this kind of leather as it grows more beautiful over time and gains dark brown color. The finest modern furniture, and footwear are made from Full Grain leather.

2) Top-Grain leather, also known as Corrected-Grain leather is fluffy on one side and plain on the other. The hair and natural grain used to be on the plain. The hides, which are made from inferior quality raw materials, have all of the natural grain sanded off, and an artificial grain applied. This kind of leather is cheaper than full-grain leather material though it is less comfortable, less attractive and less durable. Moreover, it must be heavily painted in order to cover up the sanding and stamping process.

3) Suede is an interior split of the hide. It is “fuzzy” on both sides. Suede is even less durable than top-grain. But it is really smart and looks luxurious. Suede is cheaper because many pieces of suede can be split from a single thickness of hide, whereas only one piece of top-grain can be made. However, manufacturers use a variety of techniques to make suede appear to be full-grain.

modern leather sofa

Other less-common leathers include: Buckskin, Patent leather, Shagreen, Vachetta leather.

The following are not ‘true’ leathers, but contain leather material: Bicast leather and Bonded leather. Bicast leather is a man-made product but sometimes it is marketed as genuine leather to incompetent consumers. Bonded Leather, or “Reconstituted Leather” is not really a true leather but a man-made material composed of 90% to 100% leather fibers.

Our advice is “Beware of non-genuine leather!” as the real quality leather is not cheap and will never be cheap but it costs its money because you do not just buy an article of modern furniture, a purse, shoes, gloves and other accessories but also comfort, appearance, durability, warmth, fashion!

Modern furniture “Made in EU” – what does it mean???

October 12th, 2006

Practically, everyone is aware today of the issue of producing goods in one country by the license of another with the aim of selling it to the third country. What is this issue about??

Well, actually, it is inconvenient, for example, for the Unites States to produce fluffy toys within its territory – it is really more efficient and economically sound to produce them in the People’s Republic of China. This is cheaper and the Chinese people are employed ;-)

At the same time there are different international trade regulations that allow rebrendering – a feature that is so popular nowadays. Let’s come into details:

Take, for instance, one country from the former Soviet Union, let’s say Belarus. This is a rather small country where agriculture is the prevailing branch of the state economy. Still this country produces really outstanding watches (brand “Luch”), TVs (brands “Horizont”, “Vitjaz”) and other goods. The quality of watches’ mechanisms is so high that some European countries are importing them in order to “re-brand” them – to mark their brands on such watches. Again it is much cheaper and in workmanlike manner. But the producer is not indicated directly. With the expansion of the European Union such trade schemes have been even simplified. Nowadays it is enough to mention that the good is made in EU and that’s all. The warranty is issued by a seller, not a producer.

Overall, such world trade practice is a very important practice on the way to Globalization… but at the same time one should not forget about the traditions and customs of any particular country in any part of the world. Sometimes you want to by a Swiss watch that is Made in Switzerland, a new TV-set that is Produced in Japan, a perfume that is poured out in France, modern furniture that is made in Italy – the country of strong traditions, etc.

Our modern furniture is really made in Germany and Italy and if we label that the furniture is produced in European Union – we are responsible for such words.

New Year always comes with the feeling of approaching changes. Many people decide to start a new way of life and to expose their mottos to radical reconsiderations. Folks in some countries have long lasting traditions to renew everything around including their home appliances as well as home improvement goods and modern furniture: beds, chairs, sofas and so on. It is right in Italy where there is a custom to throw out everything old through the widows on the New Year’s Eve.

It goes without saying that people in modern Italy throw out less than they used to. But they replaced this tradition with just renewing the setting and décor. They do not go to the extremes and only buy new modern furniture from the well-known designers and decorate their homes accordingly.

If you want to catch up with Italians or simply want to make a present on the New Year’s Eve – pay attention to the modern furnishings directly from manufacturers as they are acknowledged trendsetters in this niche. Where else if not in Italy you can enjoy the long-century quality furniture?

Breaking up the Sellers’ Code: Sales & On-line stores

    July 27th, 2006

Posted by support at 12:32 pm

One should mention that many people who often go window-shopping are waiting for sales to come. Nevermind how great a sale is (-10%, -30% or more) this has an impact on the end customers. The sign “Currently on sale” affects the customers like a magical artifact. Furniture sales can even make people redecorate everything in their homes just because they have run across a piece of affordable modern furniture. Let’s come deeper into the roots of placing different goods on sale.

Firstly, any goods can appear defective even if they are of the highest quality. The producer or reseller decides not to remove this good from a shelf or shop and to continue sale but for a price being low enough. Indeed, if there is no button in one place or a stitch went of somewhere where nobody sees it, say, for example, on an Armani jacket and the price went down accordingly – why not to consider the purchase?

Secondly, there is a notion of Seasonal Sales. Mostly it concerns articles of clothing when the producers spread out clothes that are not to the current season and weather. For instance, a shop that sells fur coats when there is 80F outside. Many customers have never even thought about considering this as a bargain as they can buy these goods for the price that can be even 3 times lower. There is a great Russian saying: “Prepare the sledge in summer”.

Thirdly, one should mention the sales that are confined to the special events and occasions. Let’s say “Christmas Sale”, “Independence Day Sale”, “Thanksgiving Day Sale” and others. Well, this is a great marketing step in order to attract visitors reminding them of the pleasant things that they want to hear at the same time showing that shop owners as well as shop-assistants are caring about the end customers and show their “equal relation” or “we-group” (psych.) in relation to the buyers. Decoration here places by no means the last role.

Nowadays when 60% of all purchases of different goods are made on-line in the USA it is not enough just to have a physical store even if it is a greengrocery, a butcher’s shop or a modern furniture store. There are always customers who are ready to make purchase online even if they want to supply themselves with foodstuffs. The time when pizza and fresh vegetables delivery was a luxury has come to non-existence. Let’s not forget about disabled who are the same people who want to lead a normal life and order the same goods. Internet has provided them with wide doors as they got an opportunity to browse through the shelves of the virtual online store and choose any goods they want.

Summarizing this post one should restate the fact that special occasion sale is one of the best way to promote one’s business.

Modern design furniture – embellish your rooms for long with a qualified online-consultation!

It’s not a secret anymore that the same furniture found on this site you are able to buy for less. Why is it so? Many vendors nowadays are producing Chinese mass consumption goods and sell them under the world-known trade marks though not being an authorized seller and sometimes such way of doing business is a complete violation of designers’ rights and patents. Thus you pay hundreds on unknown quality furniture articles and you are not sure whether this modern furniture is really worth paying for. There is often no guarantee that these modern sofas, futons, chairs and other furnishings won’t break during the “official” guarantee provided by these “professional sellers” of modern exclusive furniture via the World Wide Web.

How to be safe with your purchase and be sure that you buy the real designers’ furniture? First of all have a look at the price for these furniture articles – not a single furniture designer will allow an Internet shop sell his or her masterpieces for half of the price or even lower! Then you are to ask a shop assistant the official recognized right provided by the designers to resell this modern furniture to the end customers. Do not be confused to ask for security measures taken by this online-store that sells this furniture through Internet. This is of tremendous importance when a reputable web-site has the signs like “Hacker safe site. Tested daily” and “COMODO – authentic & secure”. You definitely would not give your credit card information to the “unchecked” web-sites where you have no confidence in there authentity at all!

Online consultation is the very source of providing the customers with any information about modern furniture that is of course not cheap. That is why it is necessary to talk to a shop-assistant about the design, type of furniture, coloring, size (if this information is not presented on the web-site), details of shipping and other minor things. Doing this will help you avoid unnecessary stumbling blocks in future.
